Chicago....

What an incredible Vacation we had. First, We drove about 7.5 hours to Homewood (a suburb of Chicago) where my grandpa lives. Daniel did amazing. We stopped in Iowa city (which is half way) to let Daniel run around in the Childrens museum there. Our Nebraska pass gets us in their for free.

It was so fun to see my Grandpa. It has sure been a while.... since I was about 20. He was a wonderful host trying to feed us like crazy every minute. Daniel sure loved him. He would follow Grandpa around and try to give him his cane and pick up whatever he dropped etc...

Tommy met us in Chicago. We took the train downtown for three days. We walked down State Street and Michigan Ave. Saw all the huge shopping stores. It was very tempting to go shopping. I told Jordan we will be going back in 7- 10 years and I will shop till I drop. We walked down to Navy Pier, went to the childrens museum, Science and Industry Museum and Natural History. Can I just say we love our Childrens museum pass because we got into all those museums for free!!!! How sweet is that.

While we were out on Lake Michigan, Jordan just had to jump in.  Something about his life being fulfilled or something . . . .

Our second cousin Vern owns a boat company and took us on the River threw Chicago then out to Lake Michigan. It was AWESOME. Beautiful to drive threw the buildings etc...

We also had a get together with some of my cousins and aunts and uncles. It was so fun to catch up. They are wonderful people and hope to see them more often.

Our 9 days in chicago were awesome! We were busy but had a blast and Daniel was so good and enjoyed every minute!
