Two weeks ago I received a text while I was getting a mole removed from the side of my face. Cameron had said that Grandpa Jamison was not doing well and that he probably wouldn't make it much longer. I went back to my in-laws to finish my laundry (I had started it before I went to the Doctors) and as soon as it was done I jumped in the car with Daniel and headed back home, I threw stuff in the car and headed to Utah. Jordan was in class and I wasn't even able to say goodbye. But, I knew that I needed to go. I was tired and in pain with 15 stitches on the side of my face. But I was determined. Daniel did wonderful in the car.
We made it to my Grandpas....I was able to sit with my Grandpa for a little bit with Daniel and talk to him. Even though he was "non responsive" I knew he could hear me. It was sad to think he would pass but brought me so much joy that he would be with his sweetheart. Being by his side brought back memories 5 years previous...we were in the same room with my Grandma for the last moments of her life. It is amazing what a spiritual moment that was. The veil is so thin. I really felt people welcoming my Grandma to the other side.
My grandpa passed in the night. What a wonderful reunion that was for my grandparents. That would have been a sight! They were so much in love and such great examples in my life. I have so many wonderful memories of my grandparents. I hope that I can help continue on with the legacy that they have left. How we miss you Grandma and Grandpa....Till we meet again
